About Tyler
Like all things in life that are worth it, therapy should be humorous, challenging, fulfilling, and full of discovery. As a couples and family therapist, I want to create a space that validates your experience and empowers your best self. My systemic approach focuses on exploring all the parts, both inside and outside yourself, that make up your unique experience. Once we understand all the influences in your life, then we can move towards healing and change. I focus on inner development, relationship connection, and the importance of social, racial, and cultural identity. I know life can be hard. It takes courage and vulnerability to meet the challenge, and I look forward everyday to supporting my clients in whatever way they need.
I was born and raised in Northern Nevada. My undergraduate degree is in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno, while my Master’s Degree is in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Outside of therapy you can find me spending time with my family, watching sports, laughing with friends, and air drumming to a random song in my head.
“If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special.”
