About Haley

I enjoy facilitating sessions in an upbeat, easy-going manner that place clients in the role of expert by holding the space, offering guidance when needed, listening with emotional warmth, validating, using humor and being non-judgmental. I often meet with young adults struggling with trauma, family of origin issues, adult children of emotionally immature parents or survivors of high conflict families, boundary issues, general overwhelm, burnout, work/life balance stress and athletes of all ages struggling with sports trauma or sports performance.

I commonly utilize the following modalities: Therapeutic Lifestyle Change (TLC), Mindfulness, Brainspotting (BSP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My continuing education and post graduate training has focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and CBT for Anxiety Disorders from The Beck Institute, Trauma Informed Care with Bessel van der Kolk and I am a nationally certified in Brainspotting.

I earned my Masters degree from The University of Kansas (KU - go Jayhawks!), obtained my clinical license and relocated to Reno/Tahoe as a means to have better access to outdoor culture. I find myself most healthy while in nature. I enjoy snowboarding, camping, hiking, surfing and traveling. I strive to have a healthy work/life balance and enjoy exploring the outdoors with my dog, Tioga, and Husband. My pup may be found sitting in on sessions or greeting you as you walk in, offering comfort and support. When I’m not outside, I enjoy creating art and practicing gymnastics. I have a history in competitive sports as a retired level 9 club team Junior Olympic Gymnast, Division 1 College Athlete (KU) and Women’s Gymnastics Team Coach. This experience provides me a first-hand perspective of the challenges involved with competitive/elite level sports, college athletics, mental blocks, perfectionism and anxiety as an adolescent and young adult.
